Application Process Responsibility
Student/Parent Responsibility:
1. Make an appointment with your counselor for a senior interview.2. Update your activity sheet.
3. Write your essay.
4. Complete application (paper or on-line) - include fee if required
5. Submit a transcript request form to your counselor for each college ($1 per form)
6. Request teacher recommendation/s (not all schools require this)
7. Research Scholarships
8. Submit required financial aid forms (FAFSA, CSS Profile, or specific college form)
9. Mid-year report forms must be submitted to counselor as soon as possible.
10. Have SAT and/or ACT scores sent to colleges.
Counselor Responsibility:
1. Counselor will prepare your transcript listing grades, courses taken, and credits.2. Counselor will write a recommendation and send to your college when the transcript request form has been submitted. Due to the vast number of transcripts processed, students must submit this request at least two weeks in advance of any deadlines.
3. Counselor will include your activity sheet, class rank, school profile, an unofficial copy of your college board scores and 1st quarter and/or mid year grades in the package sent to the college.
4. Counselor will mail the final transcript to the college/university student will attend.
5. Counselor will mail the final NCAA form with final grades when appropriate.
